Sort of loving this yellow ceiling — so bold and sunny!
Something to really look at and ponder in those few and far between moments when I lie on the couch in the quiet. Oh, yellow...
Have you or would you ever paint your ceiling a bold color?

I like the concept, just not sure Yellow is the color I would choose. It looks good there, I must say!
the designer is making a statement with these colours. If the room was similar to this, bright sofa, the green in the fire place the art on the wall, you could pull off the yellow. If the room was contemporary, very modern , had a cozy comfy family room theme, the yellow wouldn't come to life like it does here.
I like it. I would LOVE to paint our ceilings but they are popcorn. Anyone who would put popcorn ceilings in a house deserves a beating in my book, I hate the things so much but don't have the time or energy to smooth them out.
Most definitelyI would go bold in my house! Yellow would be great in the kitchen not so sure about my living room but then again I might. In my old house we didn't paint the wall it was like that when we moved in but it was a bold red. I left it as for I really liked it. I would love to paint my kitchen I have now in some bright cheery colors but hubby says no way. "LOL" not that he doesn't like being daring and bold. Just dosen't want to half to paint it.. Laughs...
not yellow but I would paint them a bright color if it werent up for sale. I've considered doing a metallic ceiling before, it sounds weird but it comes off very modern and chic.
Katie- we smoothed out popcorn ceilings in our first house... DH did it with a metal snow shovel... he would start at one side and press and run.. it took 1 foot stripes off one jog at a time, lol. It took about 20 min per room, not bad! Then we hired a painter to come texture the ceilings (the spray kind thats just barely noticeable) and that was only $150. totally worth it in the end! Major tip was to wear one of those head to toe painting suits (it was like $20 bucks) and goggles though.. it was messy. We did it before we moved in, cant imagine having to completely clear the rooms.. yikes.
I love it!
I'm a sucker for anything bright and colorful.... I think there are no boundries for what you do to your home...as long as it soothes you and makes you happy!
my mom just painted the ceiling of her living room a mustardy yellow and the walls a deep red. it took a little getting used to - but now i love it b/c its so different!
