These rustic chalkboards on a slice of oak from Dash of Magic make me so happy — mostly cause I always wanted to be Laura Ingalls.
Remember on Little House on the Prairie how Laura and Mary Ingalls used to take little chalkboards to school to do their schoolwork on (well, some of you will...). When I was a girl (and sometimes now even), I always wanted to work and draw on my own little portable chalkboard.
These sweet chalkboards on rounds of oak tree from Dash of Magic are too cool. Perfect for leaving notes in the kitchen for the fam. Perfect if you love finding ways to bring nature inside your home.

How cool! I've seen (in most craft stores I've been in) these slices of wood. One could take those and the chalkboard paint to make their own. Not sure how much the paint costs but it could be cheaper (or a lot more expensive, lol).
I have bought the chalk paint before it isn't to bad of a price unless they have raised it I think I purchased mine for around $2.00 or $3.00, and depending on how big the project it is they go a long way. But these are really neat. I would love to do something like this for my home or even a Christmas present.
Oh my gosh..I want one! I like to press flowers and make little pictures. I'm not very good but it is nice me time.
