Ladders can usually be found stuffed in the garage, between the toolbox and the trash cans. But believe it or not, they make for some pretty sweet storage solutions inside the home.
Woman's Day has come up with four DIY crafts using ladders. They suggest checking out antique stores and garage sales for character-filled old-fashioned wooden ladders for that country look and for modern spaces, paint a new one in a bold color.
- Use it to display quilts and throws: Just paint the ladder to suit your color scheme and drape appealing heirloom quilts or blankets over the rungs.
- Turn it into a plant stand: Painted and anchored to the wall, the stand can hold sun-loving plants—and a few gardening books, too.
Be sure to check out the other craft ideas on Woman's Day's website.
