There's something so stress-free about staying in a hotel, especially a super nice one. The luxurious sheets, serene colors, the fluffy towels. Sigh.
Fortunately, you don't have to drop $500 a night to get those same luxuries.
Woman's Day came up with ways to bring that chic hotel sophistication into your own home. Here are my favorites:
- Streamline your furnishings: Most upscale hotels have a contemporary design scheme, so add in pieces with sleek, straight lines in creams and whites.
- Mirror, mirror on the wall: Think about it, most nice hotel bathrooms have huge, elaborate mirrors, it makes the room look larger (and more expensive). If you already have a large mirror, try framing it to add elegance.
- Get plush: Who doesn't love those soft, fluffy, luscious towels? Mmm. Follow suit and deck out your bathroom with solid white linens.
- Use texture in accessories: While the furniture in the hotels is usually simple and neutral, the style comes out in accessories. Throw some colorful, pleated pillows on a cream sofa to add personality.
