We have so much debt and not even money to pay. And filing bankruptcy is too expensive...is there any way to file and not have to pay. I really want to move on and be happy in life. We made our mistakes and now I feel like they are following us around.
How do you figure out the amount of money to have as your emergency fund, and how many months worth should one save? I know it is not as simple as saving equal to the earnings for those months, or even for the fixed expenditures, is there a formula or can you offer some guidelines?
Thank you
