I'm heartbroken. Time Inc. has decided to shut down Southern Accents magazine.
I'm especially sad because this was the magazine where I began my editorial career. I learned so much from the amazingly talented staff...
The September/October issue will be the last for the beautiful shelter publication.
This has been an awful year for magazines. Other home and garden publications that have bit the bullet: Domino, House & Garden, O at Home, and Country Home.

I don't subscribe to a lot of magazines because I don't have time to read them as often as I would like, but I was very disappointed when some of my home magazines disappeared. Still more enjoyable to read printed form, and cut out pictures for my wish book. Even if I could print something off an online version - it is not the same.
