Flying books from Nesting
Turn old books into pretty flying book decor for the kids' bedrooms! It's literary creative reuse, and I love.
With old, found, thrifted, or garage saled hardcover books, an exacto knife, some spray adhesive, ribbon, ceiling hooks, and a little page curling and gluing craftiness, this flying book decor looks pretty easy to make.
These would be cute in a library or playroom too. Hang several from the ceiling and create the feeling of birds or butterflies or library heaven.
Find out how to make recycled books into adorable flying book decor over on Cookie's Nesting blog.

cute!! that cork wall was cool too! My mom made a headboard for my brother out of an old fireplace mantle and cork board- its so great for kids rooms so they dont ruin the walls.
Old books? What is this blasphemy? That falls into the same catagory as left-over steak. :-p
I read books over and over again, I couldn't stand to do something like that, it seems kind of like torture.
I don't think I could do that to books either, but the bunk beds I love...
You moms make me laugh. While I agree books are precious, books do fall apart or get water logged or torn beyond reading. And I do have to say there are some books *NOT* worth reading ever again. Like How to be the Perfect Bridesmaid, for instance. Not worth a second read or even a first read. Save some poor soul and make a flying book out of it. Quick! LOL. :)
