Mismatched cubbies in Sunset
Okay, I'm all gah-gah over designer Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls' mismatched cubbies in Sunset magazine this month. How wonderful!
I've been looking for fun ways to control the clutter, reorganize, and freshen up the look of my display things. These are perfect for customizing to match your space.
The fixed-size cubby units like the IKEA Expedit bookcases or the Target 6-cube rolling storage, while adorable, won't fit where I need them. I love the idea of being able to custom build a storage area to fit a small or odd-shaped space. Plus, the mix-n-match of woods please me to no end—so eclectic!
Maybelle Imasa-Stukuls uses the custom order Cubes from Stumasa, but these real-wood beauties are $60-$80 a piece.
Still looking for a cheaper alternative to getting this look. Any ideas? I would love to hear them.
