Love of all things domestic is nothing new for the 45-year-old actress who helms Monica Potter Home, an online boutique featuring home goods and beauty essentials, which she notes on her site are "developed naturally and made by the hardworking people of the Ohio Valley."

Supporting local artisans is incredibly important to the mom of three. Restoring the house, which has been untouched for three decades, to its original splendor is Potter's latest way of staying in touch with her roots. It sounds exciting but daunting, right? Fortunately, it looks like these ladies are up to the task.

More from CafeMom:

In the debut episode, slated for October 11, Potter, her mom, and her outspoken sisters will work together to combine the home's kitchen with its dining room.

Later in the series, the family will tear down a wall to create a large master bedroom, complete with a view of Lake Erie. Naturally, throughout the process the close-knit sisters will relive childhood memories and pay tribute to their late dad.

While this type of project might send many families straight to counseling, it looks like these handy women are clearly enjoying each other's company.

Remember when Potter's alter ego Kristina was able to open a charter school for children with different educational needs? If life imitates art, the actress should have no problem turning this home into a gorgeous showplace. (Is a Peter Krause cameo too much to hope for?)

It's safe to say Zeek Braverman, who restored many an automobile while portraying the Braverman patriarch, would be proud.
