Easy & Fun-to-Make Bunny & Chick Treat Jars for Easter

Looking for a fun craft to make with your kids for Easter? Here are adorable Bunny and Chick Treat Jars that you can make together in one afternoon. Once they're ready, fill the jars up with jelly beans and put them on your mantel, knowing that your kids will sneak a few every day until Easter Sunday.

It’s also a nice hostess gift to make if you’re heading over to a friend or relative’s house on Easter for brunch. Or, if you’re the one serving brunch, use the cuties as a centerpieces for your table. The options are endless!

Materials needed:

  • Mason jar
  • Stiff felt
  • Glue dots
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam brush
  • Fine glitter
  • Scissors
  • Pom-pom (for bunny tail)

Step 1: Spread Mod Podge over your mason jar with your foam brush.

Step 2: Sprinkle glitter over the Mod Podge. Once it's dry, repeat steps 1 and 2. (They really do need at least two coats of glitter.) Tip: Contain the glitter by placing a baking pan under the mason jar as you sprinkle the glitter. The pan will collect the glitter and you can just easily wash away the glitter in the sink.

Step 3: While the mason jar is drying, cut the face shapes and feet out of stiff felt. (Don’t forget to cut out a felt circle to go on top of the lid.)

Step 4: Use the glue dots to stick together the two-toned bunny ears and chick fuzz and the eyes and then to adhere them to the jar. Be sure to add the pom-pom tail to the bunny.

All finished and ready to be filled up with your favorite Easter treats!
