Dad's Beautiful 24-Basket Laundry Room Solution Will Make You Believe in Love

Look, laundry day sucks. If you're not schlepping a stuffed IKEA bag to the laundromat, then you're probably wading through two feet of dirty clothes on the floor of your laundry room. It's guaranteed to cause family strife ... except when in the most romantic gesture of all time, your husband buys 24 laundry baskets in a valiant attempt to solve your family's laundry problem.

We swear this is real life. Jen Hatmaker, author of For the Love and mom inspiration extraordinaire, had a self-described laundry meltdown when seven people's worth of laundry finally got to her. It was the dirty underwear that broke the camel's back. Or something.

There's more. The top comment on that post is Jen's husband explaining the insane system he set up, and then Jen replying to that with, "Even this long explanation is confusing, babe. But I don't even care. I love you ..."

Dirty laundry is not usually an inspiring thing to talk about, but today it isBecause this is what parenthood looks like. This is what life looks like. This is what your laundry room looks like too, we bet.

It doesn't even matter if the hack works or not. It's important that this family works.

The thousands of comments are proof that every family handles life and laundry differently, and proof that if the most comforting sight you can imagine is a laundry room lined with 24 baskets, you're not alone.
