Oops, she's done it again! The Duchess of Cambridge, who celebrates her 32nd birthday tomorrow, was spied out and about shopping and acting like a totally normal person today! Crazy, right?
Dressed in a baby blue coat, Kate was spied checking out home furnishings and "picking up supplies" at Peter Jones, one of her favorite department stores in London's Sloane Square. She was accompanied by mom Carole Middleton. And outside of the fact that some fellow shoppers later gushed to the press about seeing her, it seemed to be a relatively low-key outing for the Duchess.
"You wouldn't have known it was Kate Middleton. The shop is always quite calm anyway, and there wasn't a great deal of people around. It was only when I did a double-take that I realized it was her," Louisa Smith, a fellow shopper and an independent distributor for a health and wellness products firm, explained to PEOPLE.
And when she did realize it was her, Louisa says she observed that the Duchess is "absolutely beautiful. She has a very magnetic energy about her. She looked absolutely stunning." Plus, "It was nice to see her doing ordinary stuff!" Like shopping for home goods with her mama!
But hey, these kinds of "normal folk" pastimes are old hat for the future Queen consort by now, right? After all, one of the last times Kate was seen shopping for antiques, she reportedly haggled for a discount! And can you blame her? She's got a HUGE pad to decorate over there at Kensington Palace!
Still, refreshing to see that she's furnishing her royal home no differently than the rest of us!
What would you do if you saw Kate shopping at the same department store as you?
