Ian Somerhalder & Nina Dobrev Rush Their 'Baby' to the Hospital in Sweet Act of Love

Awww! 5

Hey, did you know that Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are parents? They have an adorable child named Moke. Moke doesn't really look like either Nina or Ian -- he looks more like Tanning Mom with that Oompa Loompa coloring -- but they love him anyway. And like any parents, Nina and Ian were worried sick when they had to rush Moke to the hospital recently because he wasn't feeling well. "Barely got any zzzz’s due to scary trip to kitty hospital in the middle of the night. #concernedparents," Nina tweeted.

By now you may have guessed that Nina and Ian's love child is of the feline variety. Ian reportedly found Moke wandering the set of Lost and took him home. Ian is not only gorgeous but he's kind-hearted. He even has his own foundation to benefit animals and the environment.

The good news is that Moke seemed to recover nicely from whatever was ailing him and Nina tweeted, "Kid is doing much better now. Passed out on the good stuff, wrapped in mommas jacket. #phewsighofrelief"

Ian once told US Weekly, "I consider my pets to be mine, my family’s, and my friends' -- so I have more than I could count!” Does this guy get any better? I love men who are man enough to love cats!

Anyway, I can only imagine what Ian and Nina went through last night with Moke -- and it's very telling that both of them schlepped to the vet in the middle of the night rather than just one of them. Especially considering they had to work in the morning. It means not only do they both love Moke, but both are the type to take responsibility, and to share in their "parenting" equally. Which would, of course, make them great human baby parents! But also they are free to stick with pets. Hey, it's alllll good!

But for now they seem happy being kitty parents, and that sure is one lucky furball.

Do you think good furparents make good human parents?

Not necessarily, sometimes "furparents" only jibe with four legged, winged or gilled kids.

I agree with PRIMA. My sister and brother-in-law have 2 cats and 2 dogs, but they're not having kids.
