Maria Shriver’s Christmas Lights Are Still Up & Her Neighbors Have EVERY Right to Be Angry

Christmas lightsHere I was thinking my mother was the only one lucky enough to live next door to someone who still has their icicle Christmas lights up, but man was I wrong. Maria Shriver, you've been caught red handed. According to TMZ, Maria still hasn't taken down her Christmas lights 94 days after the joyous occasion. Shocker: her neighbors (similar to my mother) are LESS than pleased about the whole thing, saying that the lights are a total eyesore

HA! But seriously, TELL me you've felt the same way? WHY is it so dang hard for people to take the 10 minutes to an hour to UNdecorate their home? Besides, I for one know that Christmas lights just don't bring the same happiness in March as they do in December. They just don't.

It can be an awkward topic, that's for sure. Not everyone is in the position to walk over to their neighbors, knock on the door, and ask them to take down their lights. Sure the neighbors are cordial and outside one day, maybe then it's OK to make a joke about it, but the truth is that it's THEIR property and they can do with it as they please.

What's even funnier, though, is I bet you Maria (like Mom's neighbor) WANTS those lights taken down. But taking 'em down, that involves effort. Ugh. SO MUCH EFFORT. Instead of putting in that effort, she's just grown to become used to the decorative display.

For my both Mom and Maria's neighbor's sake, I'm just hoping the lights come down by Memorial Day. I'm sorry, but that's when I just HAVE to draw the line.

Do you have a neighbor who still has Christmas lights up? Does it bother you?
