Seems like Katy Perry is having a few problems. No no no, nothing to do with boyfriend John Mayer. Seems like the "Firework" singer is trying to get rid of the Mediterranean-style home she bought for $6.5 million with Russell Brand when they were married. The issue? No one wants to pay the $8 million asking price that she wants. That quiet home sale she was hoping for? Yeah, not exactly possible when no one's biting at the big price tag.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but usually when a big-name celebrity puts their home on the market, it gets scooped up pretty quickly, no? We saw it happen recently with Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift. Maybe a good name just doesn't always do the trick.
The way I see it, there's one HUGE issue here: the $8 million price tag. That ain't cheap, Perry. Just because you have zillions who love your music doesn't mean they'll be willing to splurge majorly on your celebrity home. Let's take a look at the home, shall we?
In the photos below, you'll see it's definitely a dream abode. With seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms -- the 8,835-square-foot mansion has a LOT to offer. Sources tell TMZ that Perry is going to reduce the asking price of the home to somewhere in the $7 million range if she doesn't sell it within two weeks. Something tells me she'll survive without the couple hundred thousand dollars.
What do you think of Katy's home?
