Well, shut my mouth, Britney Spears just purchased a new L.A. mansion to the tune of $8.5 million, and -- believe it or not, y'all -- it's pretty darn tasteful. Actually, scratch tasteful -- because this house is nothing short of exquisite.
The home is located in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood, and has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms in a whopping 8,456 square feet. And it doesn't sound like Britney and her boys will have to worry about having ample privacy in this place, because it's in the swanky gated community of Sherwood Country Club.
And after checking out some photos of the interior decor and outdoor spaces of the home, I honestly don't know why Britney would ever want to leave the comfort of this place and venture out into the streets of L.A. other than to go to work at her X Factor gig.
The kitchen is more than fit for any chef, with beautiful (what look like) marble counter tops, top-of-the-line appliances, and of course, a butler's pantry. (C'mon, do you really think Brit cooks all her own meals?)
The home also has a major indoor/outdoor thing going on, so it's open and airy and doesn't feel the least bit stuffy despite its grandeur. The grounds are perfectly landscaped, and the long, infinity edge pool will be the perfect place for Sean Preston and Jayden to cool off on warm California afternoons.
And the view this place has of the mountains is so beautiful and resort-like -- it will almost be like having her own little piece of paradise right in the middle of the city.
It's pretty obvious that Britney is on a major upswing right now, and hopefully moving into a home this palatial will remind her of how far she's come since her meltdown in the bathroom days a few years ago. She should be proud of all she's accomplished, and for the sake of all of us who can only dream of living in a house this amazing, hopefully she'll enjoy every single second of her time there.
What do you think of Britney's new home?
