If you really want to have a genuinely spooky experience this Halloween, then visiting a haunted house is an absolute must. And I'm not talking about those cheesy homes that people set up with all sorts of gory props and actors who jump out and scare you as you're walking through them.

There are several homes in the United States that are notoriously haunted for real, and some of their known ghostly sightings date back hundreds of years.

Believe it or not, one of the most haunted houses in this country is probably the most famous home in the world -- The White House.
