Giveaway: 'Country Living' Cape Cod Quilt Set

Win It! 271

Country Living quiltCongratulations to our winner, billsfan1104!

Fall is officially here and so are the chilly temperatures, which means it's the perfect time to do a little redecorating around the house. Bring out the candles, spruce up the festive fall decor, and my favorite part -- break out the warm and cozy blankets.

We love the new line of quilts and coverlets from Country Living because they come in beautiful patterns and fresh, rustic colors. That's exactly why we're giving one lucky Stir reader a Cape Cod quilt set.

To enter to win a Cape Cod quilt set, simply tell me:

How do you spruce up your home for fall?

Pumpkins everywhere! I also boil and simmer apples with cinnamon and an orange peel with a touch of nutmeg just to make my house smell beautiful.

I love setting the scarecrow free to blow in the wind. And pumpkins and hay on the front porch.  I also like to leave the leaves on the ground for a while.

Bright yellow mums on the front porch to replace fading summer flowers. Looks so nice with the red and gold leaves on the trees.

Does baking applesauce count too !?

It looks like a maple tree threw up all over my living and dinning room... maple tree garland everywhere! Mini pumpkins and gourds sporadically thrown in, and some festive fall signs and a little apple spice scent... Not to mention all the outdoor decorations!

I change to heavier bedding, which reminds me that I need to get a new comforter.

I re-post pins on my Pinterest Board of fall-things with captions I actually write at the bottom so my friends think I do things around the house to get ready for fall! Also, living in NC, the oak trees start dropping their acorns, so I landscape my natural areas with what seems like the millions of little buggers that fall onto the driveway and patio.  Ha.

But in all seriousness, one of my favorite fall tradtions is, on one of the first colder nights, to sit outside with my husband, wrap up with afghans made Mary Memmory, a wonderful women that was a member of my chruch for many years until she passed, and drink mulled wine, and do nothing but listen.  The sounds change in the fall at night, crickets stop chirping.  You have to listen harder for the sounds of the season.

I love the smell of pumpkins spice, so I change all of my airfresheners to pumpkin and put out fall decorations.
