As Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian prepare to "take Miami," they aren't taking any chances in securing a luxurious home in which to brave the heat for three months of filming their reality show. And while they've been perfectly comfortable in swanky hotel suites for the past couple of seasons, this time around, they're looking for something a little more spacious.
Apparently trading in a hotel for an actual house was Kourtney's idea, because she (understandably) wants more room to spread out now that she's a mother of two young children. Somehow the idea of being up all night with a screaming baby seems less stressful when you're in the privacy of your own home versus a hotel with hundreds of other guests who might not be too pleased with the added noise. But we all know what she's really up to.
(Duh -- she wants to keep tabs on Scott Disick.)
And settling down into a $5.8 million Mediterranean-style mansion right on the ocean is definitely a great strategy as far as keeping him close to home goes. This particular house has more than enough room to spread out, with six bedrooms and six bathrooms. (So they can still sleep in separate quarters like they're used to.) It also has a pool overlooking the ocean and private dock. (And yes, there's a fence, so it's safe for little Mason and baby Penelope.)
It seems almost impossible to think that Kourtney wanting to keep Scott on a short leash didn't come into play in the decision to ditch the hotel for the house. Something tells me there was no way in hell she was going to hole up in a trendy hotel in the middle of South Beach, giving him easy access to Miami's booming nightlife. (She's no dummy, that's for sure. But can't you already picture scenes of him trying to sneak out in the middle of the night?)
If you had to live in Miami for three months, would you choose a home or a hotel?
