Johnny Depp Vanessa ParadisI guess there's always a silver lining to any difficult situation, because Vanessa Paradis just got one hell of a consolation prize after her split from Johnny Depp.

Depp has reportedly "given" Paradis a $4.4 million Hollywood Hills villa as a parting gift of sorts -- which basically makes their breakup look like one of the most amicable on record. And it also makes Johnny look like a truly genuine guy, because it's not like he was legally required to give her anything since they were never married.

The 5,800-square-foot Mediterranean-style home is located off the famed Mulholland Drive, and it sits on a private, wooded piece of property.

In addition to a romantic master suite with fireplace (where Vanessa can ponder her nights alone ... how nice), the house also comes with a pool and spa (of course) and a tiled patio for relaxing outdoors.

It also has "beautiful" city views and is located a mere 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown, so it sounds like even though it's secluded, Vanessa won't be too far from the action.

Odds are good that the couple's two children, Lily-Rose and Jack, played an important part in Johnny's decision to set Vanessa up with such a cush pad. But it still speaks volumes about his character that he wanted to make sure Vanessa had a nice place to live, which proves he loved her very deeply even though they've parted ways.

And I wouldn't be surprised if this gesture alone is enough to prompt many women to stand in line for a chance to date Johnny. He may be a very private guy, but he obviously has a huge heart.
