'Rude' Man's Dry Cleaning Bill Has Hilarious but Nasty Name for Him
Remember that classic episode of Seinfeld where Jerry caught his dry cleaner wearing his clothes in between cleanings? (Love that show.) I think it's safe to say that most of us have wondered if that sort of thing ever really goes on after we drop off our favorite items of clothing, but one customer got a surprise much nastier than a stain or foul smell after picking up his shirts and suits.
When a man named Alex looked at his receipt after grabbing his dry cleaning, he noticed the name "Asshole Alex" at the top. His story was told on The Consumerist, which asked the question, "Were they commenting on his behavior as a customer, or was it some kind of terrible phonetic mistake?"
Um, I'm no genius, but I'm guessing the slap had something to do with how he treated the staff at the dry cleaners when he ventured in and out. Maybe he just wasn't friendly. Maybe he didn't even acknowledge their existence when he ran in and out. Or maybe it's something bigger than that -- like maybe they found some sort of evidence of shady behavior on the clothes he brought in?
Then again, there's always the possibility that the workers were just having a little bit of innocent fun to try and help get them through the mundane days of standing behind a dry cleaning counter all day. (Crazy kids.)
Whatever the case, Alex's story serves as an important lesson to always be as pleasant as possible to the people who are handling your clothes, and if you can't be nice? Maybe buying one of those at-home dry cleaning kits is a better option.
Do you ever wonder what goes on behind closed doors after you drop off your clothes at the dry cleaner?
