Now that he's supposedly selling the house in Los Angeles he shared with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson is officially homeless -- but he's not letting it get him down. In fact, he's taking the idea of living his life in limbo perfectly in stride, even going so far as to joke about his new found "bum" status.

Pattinson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, and he told Jimmy that he still has no place to live, and added, "No, I rented this archway and I just live behind it. In one of those trash cans."

Hmm. Even though Rob is a pretty down-to-earth guy and doesn't strike me as the type who absolutely needs to live in luxury, something tells me the archway and trash can he's referring to are probably well disguised as a fancy hotel suite if he's back in L.A. for good. For a while, he was reportedly shacking up at Reese Witherspoon's ranch in Ojai, California, but that's a little too far from the action.

He'll have to settle back down closer to the city at some point, though his new home may not be quite as swanky as the one he lived in with Kristen. Considering he just purchased a car for only $2,500 and admits to buying a lot of items from Craigslist, odds are good that he'll find a more basic pad to suit his newly single lifestyle.

I picture him in a one-bedroom apartment in the Hollywood Hills with sweeping views of the city skyline -- in a complex with a swimming pool filled with plenty of hot, single ladies ready to help him heal his broken heart. (Sounds about right, doesn't it?)
