A Beautiful Little Nursery Designed for a Small Space

Designing for small spaces can be difficult, especially when it comes to a nursery! But I love a good challenge and it turns out that babies really don't need all that extra stuff anyway, right?

Photographer Shauna Maness did a tremendous job with this nursery nook located in the master bedroom of her Dallas apartment. That pocket-sized hotel crib and a few other purposeful details really add to the character and function of this space.

See a few more gorgeous pics below!

Double curtain rods are a great way to add a little depth and contrast to a room. I love the navy stripes paired with the peachy shade behind. After living in Europe for several years, Shauna and her husband amassed quite a collection of globes, which they then used as sort of a theme throughout the design of this nook. Isn't that mobile so perfect?

I really like this low dresser with a spot on top for diaper changes. I am a big fan of multi-tasking furniture!

Beautiful lighting from a large window help this small space feel bigger than it really is.

No nursery, not even a nook, would be complete without a comfy chair. I love this mossy velvet one with matching ottoman. What a great spot! Tucking the bookshelf behind was a smart move, adding extra storage without taking up too much space.

Have you ever designed a nursery for a small space? What do you think of this one?
