Out of all the most unlikely friendships between animals, cats and birds who snuggle up together like old buddies has got to be one of the most unusual yet!
But that's exactly what happened when a woman in Michigan found a baby robin in her backyard and decided to take care of him until he was strong enough to survive on his own. She called the bird "Peeps," and at first, she was pretty worried about her cats getting a hold of him.
A baby bird would be a delectable treat for most felines -- and that's why she was so surprised when they immediately took to the little guy and let him lay all snuggled up on top of their fur. And believe me, the photo of Peeps all nestled and cozy with one of the cats is about the cutest thing you'll ever see. They both look so content -- and like best buds!
I guess the whole Tweety & Sylvester battle doesn't apply to all birds & cats -- because these pals are obviously a match made in heaven.
Peeps is eventually going to be released at a local park -- and I can't help but wonder if he'll fly right back to visit his new adoptive "moms!"
Does your cat like to chase birds?
