‘Real Housewife’ Kim Zolciak Will Be Homeless Soon

kim zolciakDespite earlier reports that she was being evicted from her Georgia mansion, Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding star & Real Housewife Kim Zolciak now insists that she isn't getting kicked to the curb by her landlord -- though her living situation isn't exactly drama-free. (Imagine that.)

According to TMZ, Kim and her husband, Kroy Biermann, were all set to purchase the home, when their appraiser told them it was overpriced by a whopping $1 million. At that point, they changed their minds about becoming home owners, and Kim claims her landlord is pretty upset that the deal fell through. The woman got so mad that she told the media Kim had been "tardy" with her rent check and was being evicted as a result -- but Kim insists she never missed a payment.

And she's so irate about the landlord's little freak-out session that she is apparently making preparations to vacate the house and look for a new home to rent until she and Kroy build a place of their own. (Sounds like a smart plan to me!)

Home ownership can be kind of a pain in the rear end, but stories like this make me so glad we chose to buy instead of rent -- because the benefits really do outweigh some of the conveniences that go along with being a renter. As nice as it would be to be able to pick up the phone and call the landlord whenever the garbage disposal stops working or the sink starts leaking, it's still nice to know that we can pretty much do anything we want to our house without worrying about a crazy landlord freaking out because my son wrote on the master bedroom wall with magic marker (that never happened because he's a perfect angel) or because we left too many holes in the wall by hanging pictures.

Do you rent your home? How is your relationship with your landlord?
