If a puppy literally falling out of the sky and landing in your backyard isn't a sign that he's meant to be a part of your family, then I don't know what is! A 7-year-old boy in California got the shock of his life when he found a tiny 8-week-old puppy badly hurt in his yard after seemingly falling straight from the heavens.
The boy immediately alerted his mother when he found the poor pup, and she determined that the dog had been captured by a hawk that lives on their property, and somehow managed to wriggle himself free from it's talons. He fell about 30 feet to the ground, and it's a miracle that he survived! The family took him to the vet, and have now adopted him.
Take a look at the video clip below to hear more about this amazing little dog, whose new owners call "T.J. Heavenly."

Isn't he about the sweetest little puppy you've ever seen? He must have been so frightened while that hawk was flying with him, and it's a wonder that he was able to escape its clutches! I am just so happy that he landed in the arms of people who will truly love and care for him after his ordeal. I love how his new owner said, "When God drops a puppy from the sky, you keep it!" Amen to that!
Have you ever taken in a lost or hurt animal?

My dad rescued a drowning squirrel once from our pool. He got the water out of his lungs (no, he didnt do mouth to mouth), and gave it a home til he was better. Ive also picked up lost dogs a few times and found their owners, nothing too dramatic.
how sweet ! that puppy is CUTE
Our current cat was found at 2 weeks old wandering around in our neighbor's barn. We couldn't find mama or the rest of the litter, so I took him in, to "foster" him until we could find him a Forever Family. Well, you're lookin' at his Forever Mom!! A couple weeks after finding him, my neighbor found the mama-cat's "nest" - she'd had her litter in a TREE, about 6' off the ground!! No wonder we couldn't find the rest of the family!
Love it!!
not sure i believe this....that is a TINY puppy with no teeth and its eyes aren't even open yet. no way this is an 8 week old pup...
My cat was a rescue. In my old apartment building in the city, we needed to go into the alley underneath the building to throw out the trash. I went out to throw out the trash one day onto my way to work and i dropped my bag in the container and heard a series of pitiful meows coming from the container. I moved my bag and found a cardboard box full of 5 kittens about 2-3 weeks old. Someone had thrown them out (people are disgusting!) and the mother cat was nowhere to be found. So instead of going to work i took them to a local vet to get checked out , and who also ran an adoption program. I connected with one of the kittens really closely on that day and took her home with me, and when I called two days later , the other had been adopted as well, so it was a happy ending for those kittens.
@ doodlebut - He might not have a real owner. He could be a stray, or like in Ms.Rkg's case, the owner left him and his siblings to die outside. Most owners wouldn't let a puppy that young outside and it's unlikely the hawk entered someone's house just to snatch the puppy.
Man, that is one lucky puppy! As for the question, most of my cats have been strays.
