My cat could honestly care less about my two dogs. She looks at them as if they are beneath her and not worthy of her time and presence. Every time they approach her , I imagine her rolling her eyes and saying "this again!?!" and then she gives them this look that freezes them in place and then they slowly back off. It's hilarious.
I know a family who had a dog (I would imagine she's passed on by now. It's been a long while since I last saw her) who was friendly with their cats. One however... rejects her attempts at being friends. Nothing like the dog whimpering because the cat doesn't want anything to do with her. Kind of funny I confess..
