Jennifer Aniston Couldn't Sell Her New York City Apartment Fast Enough

This Just In 2

jennifer aniston apartmentIf you are one of the many people who call New York City home, then you officially have one less celebrity neighbor to spot around town. Jennifer Aniston just sold her two West Village apartments to a real estate investor, and judging from the $500,000 hit she took, it appears that she was pretty anxious to get the heck out of the Big Apple.

Aniston originally bought the apartments last year and had planned on combining them into one larger unit.

And even though they came complete with a rooftop terrace and views of the Empire State building, the luxury pads probably weren't a big enough refuge for Jen from the paparazzi who constantly followed her around the city.

She told the Kyle and Jackie O Show in Australia that being in New York "felt like living in a fishbowl" and added that she was "mortified for her neighbors." And even though it was probably kind of fun to have Jennifer Aniston living in their building, I'm sure the other people residing there are probably relieved to see her go. Can you even imagine what it must be like to walk out of your building and be greeted by flashing cameras hoping that you're some big celebrity? It would get pretty old after a while.

I guess it was only a matter of time before Jen gave up on NYC. After all, she did just purchase a $21 million, 8,500-square-foot mansion in Bel Air that she moved into a few months ago with boyfriend Justin Theroux. Something tells me their "little" L.A. love nest offers quite a bit more privacy than the West Village.

If you were a celeb, would you want to live in NYC or Los Angeles?

For a normal person like me, NYC-no questions asked. I feel Cali is more superficial and NYC is real. Now as a celebrity neither. You famous people want peace and quiet stay out of the big cities.

I always assumed NYC was better for celebrities because everyone who lives there is too "cool" or busy to be enamored with them or even approach them. While in LA there are plenty of star f****** to go around. But I guess there's much more space in LA to hide out and hang out.
