Beautiful Baby Girl Nursery Combines Old and New Styles

This gorgeous nursery has just the right amount of modern hipster mixed with vintage flair. That blocky M is for Monroe, whose mom Erika can take credit for pulling together this funky space with flea market finds and other delightful treasures.

You can click through to see more shots of this super rad baby girl's room. But before you continue, shouldn't we all just admire that amazing red credenza? I'm coveting!

Using the antique credenza for a changing table was such a bold move and it works beautifully, don't you think? I love that horse head lamp and the minimalist wall gallery arrangement as well.

How awesome are those Ray-Ban prints above the crib? So cool!

Super modern Bertoia chairs, but in mini form, are perfect for a hip nursery space like this one.

Do you like this baby's room? Personally, I love it!

P.S. You can read more about Monroe's nursery on photographer Kristin Eldrige's blog here.

I love this, all except for the pattern on the rug. Super cute!

Yeah I am not digging it.

I love this nursery. It feels like a real room for a real person, and is a nice relief from the overly saccharin baby rooms that feel tired after a short period of time.

I think it looks like an office that someone swapped out a desk for a crib.

I'm very undecided on this trend of decorating babies rooms in a non-baby scheme. On the one hand, I get it, they're not babies forever so perhaps this design aesthetic will go the distance (until the child forms an opinion of its own). However, on the flip side, they are only babies for a very short precious time and there are a lot of sweet baby motifs that can be really charming. Its tricky one.

Love it! As an interior designer, I've been preaching the non-juvenile baby room doctrine for a while.

Not my style because it seems a little cold.  However I'm all for creating rooms with a little imagination.

Lol, how long do you think the nursery will stay that neat once they're older? Not really my style.

Not my style at all.

I am a big believer in the "normal person" baby room. We are working on a nursery for baby #2 (girl) and we are looking to do a credenza/changing table just like we did for our son (we chose royal blue). I am just not a fan of pastels and "babyish" anything plus I want things that my kids can have as they grow. That said, I think everyone should have just what they want for their baby's nursery.
