This has been a pretty great week for Bubba Watson, to say the very least. Before his big win at the Masters on Sunday, he was just another golfer that not too many people had heard much about. But now? Bubba's definitely a household name.
And speaking of households, he's just put his North Carolina lake house on the market for $1.499 million, leading us to wonder if he's decided to trade up his digs for something a little more stately -- and possibly more kid-friendly too. Bubba and his wife just adopted 1-month-old Caleb a couple of weeks ago, and living right on the water in a home that has a dock, floating pier, and a pool & hot tub probably isn't the best spot for a growing baby.
But for prospective buyers with older kids (or no kiddos at all), this pad is the perfect place to relax and call home. Sitting on a prime piece of property on High Rock Lake, the main house offers 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is also a separate apartment over the garage, which is perfect for visitors who will no doubt want to take advantage of a little fun in the sun once warm temperatures hit.
Bubba and his wife also own a home in Arizona, but for the time being, they are renting a house in Orlando until their son's adoption is finalized. Wherever they end up eventually settling down, upgrading to a fancier home is certainly well deserved.
Aside from proving himself as an incredible golfer, Bubba also does his part to help others. The pink driver he used during the Masters was to support charities in the Phoenix area. And the white outfits he wore during the tournament? Those were to raise money for Fresh Start, which is an organization that does reconstructive surgery for kids with physical defects.
Aww! How can you not love this guy? It's easy to get a little bit jealous when we see athletes living in the lap of luxury, but it's pretty impossible not to think that Bubba rightly deserves every perk that fame throws his way!
Would you be able to part with such an incredible lake home?
