Iraq Veteran Ditches Stable Job in Secret Service to Follow His Wild Dream (VIDEO)

nick whiteNick White is one of those guys who's just ... well, who's just bad ass. You know the kind I'm talking about. The kind who marches to the beat of his own drummer; who does what it is he wants to do; and who actually follows his dreams -- no matter how odd or far-fetched they may sound. Oh, and the fact that he's a former Marine and Secret Service agent just ups his bad ass factor.

Here's his story: White served his country as a Marine, where his unit was the first to enter Fallujah, and after that, he worked as a Secret Service agent during both the Obama and George W. Bush administrations. While he was in the Marines, he became fascinated with dogs and all the amazing things they can do (you know, like, sniff out bombs); while he was in the Secret Service, he devoured book after DVD to learn everything he could about everyone's favorite pet. And now, the self-taught dog trainer has his very own obedience school, complete with celebrity clientele!

White is now the proud owner and operator of Off Leash K-9 Training Center in Woodbridge, Virginia, and some of his clients include UFC World Champion Jon "Bones" Jones and eight-time Mr. Olympia, Ronnie Coleman, as well as "other celebrities." Dude left a perfectly stable gig with the government to work with dogs -- without any formal training. Kind of amazing. Check him out:

You've gotta be a really patient person to work with animals -- and a passionate one at that. I think it's amazing that White's fascination and love for dogs got him to open up his own business. Not everyone could do that. After years of looking after people, a dog training school seems the perfect gig for him. May he enjoy many a year of success.

How great is this business? And how cute are those dogs?

No such thing as a "Former" Marine. Once a Marine ALWAYS a Marine. We work dang hard to earn that title!
However, this is an OUTSTANDING move on his part and I am glad he's following his dream. While there's a lot to be said for stability, when one is truly happy doing what they do, you do a lot better.

Great story. My dog could use some of that.

I think that it's wonderful he is doing what he has been dreaming of for a long time and that he is having fun doing it.  Good luck to you, Nick and your dogs are adorable.
