Most years, we like to put our Christmas tree up during Thanksgiving weekend. We ignore Black Friday and instead, we embrace our inner homebodies and use the time to prep and dream for the holiday excitement to come.
I'm not sure when Christmas trees arrive in France -- this year will definitely be an adventure -- but I love the idea of purchasing a series of small live trees and potting them in various containters to dot around the house. I imagine it would make every room feel festive, and smell fresh. Take a look at these images and tell me what you think.

Tiny plantings in mugs and ceramic jars would look festive on the kitchen counter.

This one makes a big impact in the house and would have big impact in the garden come spring time.

This is a smallish tree, but raising it up ensures it's still the focal point of the room.

These dwarf varieties make adorable gifts!

So what do you think? Fun and festive or too much of a sweeping hassle? Have you ever tried a live tree?

I love the green approach !
I can see that big green trea being replanted after the holidays so it doesnt rot and dye in a trash can like the rest.
i like the idea, i just dont know if i would od it in my house!
It would be too much for me, and my little brood of cutie pies.. but its a cute idea. I love it.
My dad always had a potted spruce he would bring in every year and we would decorate it.
A friend gave me what resembles a tree in a pot. It isn't really an outdoor tree but an indoor tree of some kind- kind of ferny looking. It has lasted a good while even though it is leggy.
Cute but would bother my allergies bad
