NOT the actual two-faced cat. This is author's interpretation (and dream come true).I love cats, and I don't care who knows it. I hear it's not the "cool" pet to like, but I won't apologize for my unabashed love of the furry felines. I don't have one (sigh) but can't wait to get a kitten one day and name him Ryan Seacrest or Cheeseburger -- two things I find completely irresistible. So! Whatever I'm going to say about this two-faced cat comes from a place of love. And a place of humor. Because it's a two-faced cat for crying out loud. And officially speaking, everyone knows that two-faced cats are both cute and funny.
Enter Frank and Louie. He's got two faces, one brain, and one stomach, and he just entered the Guinness Book of World Records for being the cat who's lived the longest with this condition. Frank and Louie just celebrated his 12th birthday!
Marty, his owner, was working at a veterinary hospital when she rescued the two-faced guy (photo of Frank and Louie) from being put down and brought him home. He's been thriving ever since ... playing with other animals, going for rides in the car, going for walks on leashes. Wait. A two-faced cat gets walked on a leash? This is all too much.
Marty explains that Frank does all the eating, which I guess is convenient because otherwise she would've had to have bought two food and water bowls. I bet Louie's super jealous. Imagine being attached to another face that gets to gobble down all the food while you just look on in helpless envy? Not cool, Frank.
But since Marty insists he's just like any other cat, I wonder if she's cashed in on his special talents. Does Frank and Louie catch double the mice? When watching a toy bob in the air left to right, does he have to move his head like other cats ... or does Frank watch the right while Louie keeps an eye on the left? And I'm curious about cat fights. Does F&L ever fight with himself? So many questions!
I'll never get to meet Frank and Louie, but if I could, I would snorgle his face and tell him he's the coolest cat on the planet. Then I would snorgle his other face and tell him he's the coolest cat on the planet.
Happy birthday, old-timer! Many returns of the day.

I saw this on the news but they had a more recent picture of the cat. It was different but if it were my kitty I am sure I would still love it.
