'Real Housewives' Have Real Issues With Real Estate

tamra barneyEverybody knows that The Real Housewives -- from every season -- are all about keeping up with the Joneses. Or the Gunvalsons, or the Singers, or the Gorgas. But did you know that their efforts to appear the wealthiest, the flashiest, and the fanciest have left almost one housewife per city broke? Or pretty damn close to it.

The fine folks at the real estate blog, Zillow, have compiled a breakdown of all the Housewives' housing trials and tribulations over the years. From foreclosures to short sales to selling their homes at a significantly reduced price, these ladies seriously need to get their priorities straight. Like, now.

Orange County:

So, the only cities that didn't make the cut are Miami (who cares?), New York, and Beverly Hills (because those ladies are stupid rich).

I can't say I'm surprised at any of this, to be frank. It seems like with every season that passes, the cast members get more competitive and spend more money. I mean, was Teresa kidding when she built -- sorry, remodeled -- that house? She doesn't have any business living there. It was obvious from the get-go. Like a lot of other people in the United States dealing with similar problems, these women were only concerned with the size of their house -- not the size of their budget.

So, thank you, Real Housewives. Not only do you guys provide me with hours upon hours of sure-fire entertainment, you've taught me a valuable lesson: Who gives a rat's about the Joneses?
