Soak Up the Sun Without Leaving Your House

It's easy to love a house with lots of natural light, so I find myself drawn to rooms with large scale windows. Here in France, we're renting a gorgeous farmhouse in the countryside, and the room we spend the most time in is the room with the biggest windows. Of course!

This roundup of beautifully designed sun rooms will make you want to knock down a few walls and make a cozy, sunny spot of your very own.

When my head is feeling crazy, I crave minimally furnished spaces. The light in this one draws me in instantly.

On a hot summer day, this room looks like it would provide a cool escape -- and keep the pesky flies away.

The light in this entry room is so clear. I'd be tempted to move my office there so I'd have an excuse to spend lots of time basking in the clarity.

It wouldn't matter what you fixed for dinner if this was your dining room. Anything would taste good with those views.

I love that these images range from a living room bathed in light to the prettiest mud room I've ever seen. It just goes to show that any corner of the house can become a sun room. Except you might want to steer clear of the bathroom. : )

I would LOVE to have a sun room/ bathroom...with one-way glass and facing a private area.  It would be lovely!

I love all of these. I really love the first one. It reminds me of Cape Cod and I really love 2 and 3 also. Oh heck!! I love them all.

Thank you for sharing....

I love these rooms!  My style is Garden Style Indoors.  Several of my rooms could pass for sunrooms. I am blessed to live in a California bungalow with high ceilings, large rooms, wood floors, a French door, window seats, ect.  My husband painted our rooms in different colors...They are all simply furnished and decorated with lovely fabrics.   My home is my getaway in the city!!!!!

I love the sun rooms, but living in the far north it is not feasible as we get very very cold winters here.

I love having as much natural light as possible.  The sunrooms you have pictured are awesome.  We have a sunroom and it's nice, but not like these, lol.  Our whole house is very open and lets in a lot of light, which I love.  We always lived in 'dark' houses before, having sunlight was a necessity when we bought this house.
