In the new season, Bob and Cortney will take on new design projects and create more totally unique spaces, using their smart, funky, downtown-chic aesthetic.

Here's a peek at one of the Novogratz's recent room makeover projects -- a stylish and well-organized bedroom for the four-year-old Sternick triplets, who live in Hell's Kitchen, New York with their parents. Keep reading for more shots of the bedroom makeover, storage tips from Cortney, and a sneak peek at the season premiere of Home by Novogratz.

When space is tight, like it was for the triplets’ bedroom, space-saving solutions are key. Here are our three of Cortney Novogratz's favorite clutter-busting design techniques.

1. Choose kid-friendly furniture with storage

Furniture with built-in storage is a dual-purpose lifesaver in small spaces. Our kitchen table is actually a French laboratory table and has drawers in it, where we keep all the art supplies for the kids, along with pens, pencils, tape, etc, that we can all use. You can get a coffee table with a place to store your books or chairs with storage. There are so many options. You can even make a table yourself by turning a cube on its side. Instant shelf space!

Bookcases, to store books and treasures, are great space dividers in kids’ bedrooms. They give each child a little privacy and also storage!

In the triplets' room, each of the kids got a desk space that was just their own. The desks have storage capabilities, as do the beds.

We also hung hooks on the wall (not pictured) for each child to hang his/her clothes. We use hooks often in our own house -- our entryway is a trail of clear Kartell hooks where the kids can hang their coats and put their shoes/boots right underneath. In the country, we put the hooks outside to hold bathing suits, towels, hula hoops, sports equipment, and more!

Organized closets with drawers and baskets easily-accessible for each child are also a must-have. That way, there is a place for their clothes, toys, and the rest of their stuff. Closet organizations systems are inexpensive, and you can install them yourself, and they make a huge difference in the amount of clutter in every room.

3. Declutter those kid spaces

Overall, try to keep your clutter to a minimum! People don’t realize how much unnecessary stuff they keep that they don’t use! Have a tag sale, donate to the Salvation Army, give toys the kids have outgrown to their cousins or friends. Try not to just let clutter pile up somewhere in your house, which makes you feel like you have no room to live!
