
I love when someone takes the simplest sort of materials and makes something absolutely striking. I was amazed to find out that this glam chandelier pictured above is actually a DIY project made from a wire hanging basket and wooden beads. Doesn't it look expensive?

Britt made this turquoise one from strands of cheap Mardi Gras beads. She shares her detailed tutorial on her blog, Gus and Lula. I adore it! I would love to make something like this for my daughter's room.

They look great hanging in the home, but they could also add some pretty to an outdoor party -- like this one seen on Dollar Store Crafts.
I'm thinking it's one of those projects that could be time consuming, but would be totally worth it when the finished project turns out so elegant.
