Ever since I watched Swiss Family Robinson on repeat when I was young, I've dreamed of having a tree house. Something about them is just so magical. When we moved to France, my dream came true. There is the most splendid tree house (above) in our backyard complete with a bell at the front door and scalloped metal edges. It's quickly become my children's favorite part of the house and yard.
Summer is on the horizon and the perfect time to start building your own. I've rounded up a few dream tree houses for you to fall in love with today.

Talk about a dream, these tree fortresses are crafted by UK-based Amazon Tree Houses. Although not exactly budget-friendly, the excellent craftsmanship and amazing details like that connecting bridge would make any kid jump for joy. Or adult for that matter.
Think of them as inspiration.
This tree house was built by a dedicated dad who created the entire space by using recycled materials. I love the pail -- used for special deliveries of course.

The yellow color and balcony make this one the most charming one of the bunch.
So what do you think? Is this inspiring a trip to Home Depot? Did you grow up with a tree house? Have you built one for you kids?

When I was a little girl,my "tree house" was a piece of plywood in our apple tree,I loved it! I would stay up there and read for hours!
We had a very rough looking little tree house as a child. My son would love to have one of these, but we don't have any trees that would work.
