People used to give their dogs dog names -- you know, Rex, Aslan, Bruiser. But now people are turning to human names for their beloved pets. Sure, sure, your dog is your baby, but giving her a human name just seems ... weird.
And now Twilight has invaded the dog-naming world as well as the baby-naming world. Just look at who's ranked number one! So now your kid and 12 dogs in the neighborhood are going to be running around with the same name.
Without further ado, here are the 10 names you shouldn't even think about using, and while you're at it, go ahead and add names like Emma to the list. Unless of course, you want your dog and kid to match.
Introducing the top 10 doggie names of 2010 -- all of which you should refrain from using on your pup.
10. Sophie
9. Charlie
8. Daisy
7. Maggie
6. Buddy
5. Molly
4. Lucy
3. Max
2. Bailey
1. Bella
What do you think of using human names as pet names? Is it stupid and tacky?

I like human names for pets - My dog is named Eric Clapton!
I've taken in two lost dogs in so many years. Both of their names were Bella. I like human names for pets, but I prefer uncommon and slightly comical names like Norman and Bob.
Haha my dog's name is Lucy. But we named her that when we got her after she was born 7 years ago.
Actually I think there are a lot of 'human' names that are better suited to pets.
I think human names are great for pets. you can give your pet a name you love but is not one you want to give your kids.
I think it is funny that Edward isn't on the list. Not a fan of Twilight, and my dog has a human name, Phoebe and my parrot is Remmi. I do however, think that pet name's should not be used on humans.
I love human names for pets. My friend has a dog named George and it just cracks me up. My own dog doesn't have a human name, though.
we also took in a two year old pit, she came as bella as well...
