It appears that the DIY Network is trying to spice things up on their cable television channel. They have a new show in the works, and it's definitely not about installing your own kitchen tiles. The show will be called Hollywood Hi-Tech and it sounds like it will basically be a tamer version of MTV's Cribs, featuring celebrities and the fancy electronics in their home.
Jeremy Piven, Kevin Connolly, and Josh Duhamel have all already signed on, but the couple that I'm most looking forward to seeing is Khloe Kardashian and hubby Lamar Odom. (They clearly can't get enough of that reality TV ... they also recently signed on to have their own show Khloe & Lamar on E!)
Now if my teen years of watching MTV's Cribs taught me anything about celebrities' homes, it's that the athletes always have the coolest and most outrageous electronics. And considering that Lamar is married to Khloe, who's used to an elaborate lifestyle, I'm willing to bet these two will definitely make this show worth watching.
You can bet that Khloe and Lamar have a home theater in their house, but I'm sure it's not just your boring 10-seater. I can see them having surround sound, vibrating chairs, and maybe even lasers, like in this home theater for special effects.
T-Pain has really cool lighting in his shower -- it can emulate either the sun or clouds. I totally see Khloe having something similar (ooo pretty!).
I'm sure this couple entertains just as much as 50 Cent, if not more so, so why wouldn't they have a fully functional dance club in their house like he does?
And while Khloe's closet may not rival that of Mariah Carey's, I'm sure her wardrobe has some electronic bells and whistles attached to it.
Though it sounds entertaining, the multimillion-dollar electronics are a far cry from a do-it-yourself project. But each episode will include tips for consumers when picking out high-tech electronics for their homes. Because, you know, what average person doesn't plan on having a home theater system?
Does this sound like a show that you would tune in to?
