Their Christmas lights are up the day after Thanksgiving, and they blind the entire neighborhood from late November straight through 'til January. Every town has one. You know, a showoff.
Even for the seasonally obsessed, it gets to be a little annoying. The constant traffic next door, the high-pitched sounds of kids' shrieking from the second the sun goes down, and the complaints about their electric bill (even though they totally love the attention).
Now imagine if you had hundreds of fans of the metal band Slayer flocking to your block gawking after the light show (tattoos, big hair, and fake blood optional)?
A man out of Southern California has transformed a seasonal pastime with his favorite band and is gaining some serious fans. Well, maybe not his neighbors. Just look at this light show:
Using Light-O-Rama controllers, the California man was able to set his light display to the '80s metal band's hit song, "Raining Blood."
Let's be serious -- it's really freakin' cool. Whether or not you're a metal fan, Christmas may just be my favorite holiday because of people like this. The originality ... the execution. And if this is what he puts on the outside of his house, you have to wonder what's on the inside! 'Tis the season for creativity and high electric bills ... isn't it?
According to the video post, the man is working on a new project, which is, of course, set to another Slayer song.
What do you think about the heavy metal light show?

this is pretty cool.
That is AWESOME!!! My husband is a huge Slayer fan. I can't wait to show this to him.
Neat. I wish I were a fan of Slayer...I'm sure it'd be much more awesome if I were.
DH & I watched this other week and its AMAZING!!!
Love it!!
I'd hate to be the neighboers....especially since this is slightly sezure inducing lol. Very cool though.
If my husband did it I would slap my forehead and shake my head. But to annoy my neighbors (My neighbors are jerks and on my crud list) I would totally let him do it.
OMG I love it! I want lights that do that! (Even if it is an epileptic's worst nightmare and would give me migraines for weeks!) That's so cool.
i seen it done to christmas music, different house lol, yet it's awsome.
