Earlier this year, Ralph Lauren opened his flagship store in Paris, but it's no ordinary store. It's 23,000 square feet of 18th-century city mansion that houses a western store, fancy men's suiting, and luxurious dressing rooms, as well as a gorgeous restaurant called Ralph's.

The renovation of the Ralph Lauren building, which has been a private home, the Dutch Embassy, the Carnegie Foundation for International Peace, and a government office building, took two years. Lauren brought in skilled artisans to create the posh interiors complete with Versailles-style parquet floors, oak paneling, and a sweeping limestone staircase.

The Store

Ralph Lauren Saint Germain gives a new-fashioned spin to the old-fashioned luxury department store. Great service, gorgeous digs, and extravagances beyond your wildest dreams. As it should be, no? Check out the lavish uber-feminine and then uber-masculine settings in the store.

The Restaurant

Ralph's, the lovely restaurant inside, offers an American menu in a posh polo-club atmosphere. There's even seating in a gorgeous courtyard, open on Paris's fairest days.
