Thanks Design*Sponge for the big announcement today about the new Anthology magazine.

Since the fall of so many shelter magazines from Domino to Metropolitan Home, it's been feeling a little depressing in the home and garden industry. Thank god for all the brilliant blogs that save us every day. However, print is its very own special thing, too, and it's really sad when the good print mags must go away.

Of course, out of the shelter mag doom and gloom, we got lovely online design magazines Lonny and Rue. And recently, we heard about Veranda and now the new design magazine Anthology -- both of which are in print -- and we are so happy.

The new quarterly shelter and lifestyle print magazine Anthology is the brainchild of Anh-Minh Le and Meg Mateo Ilasco who described their vision for the magazine as “a collection of stories shared with readers.” Each issue will cover stories on home decor, travel, design, entertaining, and culture.

The inaugural issue is themed "The Slow Life" and includes design wonders from Grace Bonney of Design*Sponge, Rod Hipskind & Kelly Ishikawa of The Perish Trust, AB Chao of hashai, interior designer Grant K. Gibson, and Aimee Cho of Gryphon.

Go to the Anthology site to see a sneak peek at the first issue. And subscribe! I already did. Can't wait to hold it in my hands.
