The real estate world doesn't just suck for regular people, celebrities are feeling that economy-driven drop as well. Christie Brinkley has had a tough time trying to sell her Hamptons homes, and it looks as though Meg Ryan, desperate to get someone moved into her Bel Air mansion, has gone from selling it for $14.2 million to renting it out for $40,000/month.
Obviously, still not cheap, but having to go from selling to leasing is a big jump.
Her Spanish-style estate is massive with open archways, stenciled and painted wood-beamed ceilings, mosaic tiling, beautiful landscaping, and a breathtaking view of the ocean.
She purchased the home back in 2009 for $8.5 million. Geez, celebs sure don't stay in one place for very long do they?
Have you tried to sell a home in the last year or so? Did you have a difficult time selling it due to the economy?
