I wish I could take credit for these adorable chair planters, but alas, I saw them on a neighbor's front porch. Aren't they sweet?
Read on to find out how you can make your own.
My neighbor, who happened to be out mowing her lawn, graciously told me all about this fun DIY project for the garden or porch.
She found old chairs at thrift stores and garage sales, and even made a few for her mom and mother in law as gifts. Great idea!
But how does the plant stay put? She used a small bit of chicken wire -- measured for the chair, molded like a bowl and, on the white one, spray painted white -- as well as a few well-hidden staples to keep the wire in place. She then rested in some moss, soil, and her plants. Might not be a bad idea to weatherproof your chair first since it will be getting wet regularly.
Thanks, cool and creative neighbor! And don't get me start on that adorable old wash basin planter in the background. So cute!
