Stephmodo's Home Tour: Calm and Bright

I'm delighted to share a glimpse into the home of Stephanie, author of the popular blog Stephmodo, and one of the most stylish people on the web. Stephanie is a master at creating inviting spaces that calm and comfort. She lives in an organized, clutter-free way and it brings such an element of serenity into her home.

I'm starting the tour with this gorgeous image of her master bedroom, and you can see the room's comfy reading nook and the rest of the tour when you click through.

I love this shot of the kitchen table surrounded by Tolix chairs. Stephanie says the Tolix chairs are her favorite item in the whole house. Aren't they good-looking? (One source for Tolix products is the Sundance Catalog.)

Nearby the kitchen table is Stephanie's computer desk. The stainless steel shelves come from Pottery Barn. She uses them to display her favorite cookbooks -- or at least the ones with the prettiest covers. :)

This handsomely composed bookcase leads us from the kitchen table to the living room. I adore that tiny plant.

Chairs from Overstock.com. Pillows from HomeGoods. Window shades are custom. And the gorgeous painting is by Chad Wys.

The graceful lamp is from IKEA.

The formal dining room. What good-looking lighting.

This is Stephanie's personal desk. I think it's so smart to have this as a separate area from the family computer desk. (Isn't it lovely to have a little space to oneself?) Her orderly inspiration board hangs above the desk.

Here is the children's playroom storage. Each bin is visually labeled -- so even pre-readers know what goes where.

I love the subdued light in the nursery. It's perfect.

This is the entry/mudroom. So functional and smart. Perfect place for a bulletin board -- so you can locate important notes as you head out the door.

This is the guest room. Wouldn't you love to cozy up on that bed? The headboard is from Target (what a find!). The coverlet is from IKEA. The nightstand is a Tolix stool. The lamp and linens were purchased at Designer Warehouse. More artwork by Chad Wys.

Lovely details, like these fresh flowers, make for such an inviting space. Thank you for opening your home, Stephanie. I'm so inspired by your balance of practical and pretty.
