Recently, I found myself loving this pansy photo by my friend, Tara Thayer. And just like that, I found my spring flower crush.

When I was a little girl, my favorite flower was the pansy. I can remember picking them in preschool and putting them in little glass bottles that I covered with amber-colored masking tape. Perhaps you have a similar memory?

In my adult years, I became tired of the pansy. Garden centers, grocery stores, flower boxes -- this flower was everywhere! I craved more exotic blooms and sought out flowers that I had never seen before.

Fast-forward to 2010. I'm not sure what happened, but this spring, I'm all about the pansy.

Single blossoms in small white bowls? Yes, please.

The simplest pansy wreath? Quite charming in my book.

This Charles Rennie Mackintosh print would be perfect for my guest room. I love botanicals, and this wild pansy print is on the top of my wish list.

Everything's coming up pansies! At least at my house.

What about you? What is your spring flower crush?
