Help Design My Room

We have a decorating and design dilemma in our house. We've had this problem since moving in nearly a year ago.

See, we have an odd-shaped house with a very odd-shaped middle room (not quite a dining room, not quite a sitting room). And we're not sure what to do with this space.

That's where you come in! Can you help me?

I'd like to put a small bistro/round table near that small wall in front of the French doors. We rarely use those doors (which lead to our yard), and I don't think blocking them off a little bit will hinder us much. But we obviously want to keep the stairs and living room and kitchen entries clear.

So, here's where I need a vote from you.

Between this more modern dining table from CB2:

CB2: $199
Or this round pedestal table from IKEA:

IKEA; $249

Both are under $250, and both are about the same size. If the white doesn't work for us, we can always paint the pedestal table. I really do like both and although my husband's opinion does matter (some), I'm genuinely interested to hear what you think.

If you picked the option "something different," tell me your ideas for decorating this space in the comments! Thanks, readers.
