I'm always so inspired by hearing other women's stories of how they've lost weight, increased their fitness, and adopted a more healthier lifestyle, aren't you?

One CafeMom has graciously agreed to share her weight loss journey with us. She's a 29-year-old mama to Madison, 5, and Lucus, 1, and lives in Ohio. Her goal? To be more active and lose 26 pounds. She's asked to remain anonymous for now, but plans to reveal herself at the end...how's that for suspense?

Each week we'll check in with her to see her progress and give her words of encouragement! But first, let's hear a little bit about why she's embarking on this important journey...

CM: How much do you currently weigh?

181 pounds.

What is your goal weight?

155 pounds.

How long do you expect it will take you to lose this weight?

Hopefully no longer than six months? LOL.

What is your strategy for losing weight?

This week I am going to start doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I will drink more water and less soda. I've also done Weight Watchers in the past, so I will do my own version of that system.

Have you always been overweight? What are your reasons for wanting to lose weight now?

Since high school I've struggled with my weight. It seems every time I lose a bunch  of weight I get pregnant! In 2003 I lost 30 lbs and was weighing 160, and then found out I was pregnant with DD. I finally got motivated to lose the weight in 2006. Then, in 2008 I found out I was pregnant with DS! That time I had lost 40 lbs and was the smallest and happiest I had ever been with my weight. I weighed 154 when I found out I was pregnant, but during my pregnancy I had developed gestational diabetes and gained a little more weight than I'd hoped for. Once I lose the weight this time, I will not be getting pregnant again! LOL.

What do you think will be the biggest motivator for helping you to lose weight?

For starters, this web-journal! Knowing people are watching is a big motivator for me. Not to mention I have boxes and boxes of cute clothes that I had bought before I had my son...and they are begging to be worn!

What do you think will be the biggest challenge for you on this weight-loss journey?

I am an ex-smoker...I quit when I got pregnant with DS...so not only did I gain weight from pregnancy, I'm sure some of it had to do with eating a little extra in place of my cigarettes. I know snacking is my weakness, because I don't smoke anymore.
