fluI've already been sick not once, but TWICE this flu season. Ugh. That's why I'm obessed with keeping cold and flu germs out of my house. Here are a few tips for keeping your family healthy during flu season, especially now with so many people coming down with H1N1 (swine flu).

  • Wash hands regularly with soap and water to prevent the spread of germs.
  • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing. Teach your kids how to sneeze into their elbow so that they don't spread germs with their hands.
  • Keep your kids home from school if they don't feel well. Even if they don't have the flu, any infection may make them more susceptible to contracting the flu virus.
  • Enlist your family's help in keeping your house clean. Germs lurk in every corner; regular cleaning can help to prevent them from spreading even further.

Have your family members been sick yet this season? How do you protect your family during the flu season?
